M2.4 Personal Care Products Response to Video on Canvas
Well, that was interesting to say the least. Shocked, really. I was
as silent as the crowd was when he stated the blood for the 10 Americans were
from fetuses. I expected the blood to be from middle age people on how the effects of living in our world harmed our body. How could we possibly be that polluted in our blood and birth healthy
babies? And to hear some of the chemicals were banned nearly 30 years ago! Unreal.
I really like the Care Act for the kids, it was absolutely
needed. And to see the rates of poisoning go down after banning thinks like
lead is great news. Like he said, we can’t live under rock. We need to clean up
our world. Ban substances until proven safe. Cleaning up our world can make an
impact.
Hi Dan,
ReplyDeleteThe Care Act for kids is necessarily needed to protect our kids and the future generations as well. My reaction is that now that researchers have all these evidence, why aren't the government doing anything about it? I was also shocked to hear that some of the chemicals found in the fetus were banned 30 years ago, so this implies that there is no accountability to the ban of those chemicals. If all these evidence does not convince the government to roll out policies to make harmful chemicals illegal and be accountable to those policies, what will?
Hi Dan,
ReplyDeleteI was shocked too. If we're finding chemicals banned more than 30 years ago in newborns, then how many generations will it take us to get rid of harmful chemicals in our bodies now that haven't even been banned yet? The Care Act for kids is definitely a hopeful step in that direction that will hopefully slowly move us closer to eliminating contaminants from our bodies.
