M3.3 Environmental Justice

I am not surprised by the facts presented on Canvas. The US and its Caucasian leaders continually turn a deaf ear towards issues that don't effect them. I am really glad Bill Clinton signed the Environmental Justices in to practice. I also enjoyed reading the Environmental Justice Strategy. Seems just right that we involve aspects of the ACA and CDC. It's strategy statement is "the fair treatment and meaningful involvement of all people..." This is the way it should be. Equal across the board.

  1. Hi Dan,
I've always preferred the term health equity, rather than health equality. Health equality means everyone gets the same amount of resources and attention, but health equity also encompasses the fairness component to it. This means vulnerable communities should get even more resources and attention because they need it the most compared to other communities who are doing relatively better.

  2. Hey Dan,
Yes, the strategy statement is absolutely something we can all get behind. Except for the people that may have money invested in companies that perpetuate these conditions on minorities apparently. It seems like we have a long way to go to achieve this equality across the board.
